About the opportunity:

We are currently looking to add an additional Commercial Property Solicitor with at least 7 years’ post qualification experience to our expanding Commercial department.  We hold a diverse portfolio of clients and carry out top tier quality work, along with having a fantastic reputation for negotiating and investigating on behalf of our clients, minimising risk as far as possible and progressing the transaction forward.

Our Commercial department are renowned for our high level of advice and service and have extensive experience with a broad range of commercial property matters, including landlord and tenant, lease renewals, lease negotiations, property development work to include site acquisitions, option agreements and section 106 agreements, through to the usual acquisitions and disposals of freehold or leasehold properties.  The team deal with a broad range of clients from small to medium sized companies through to international enterprises.

Being a confident communicator will be a necessary skill as you will engage with clients on a regular basis.

Candidate profile

Relevant experience:

  • Previous experience operating as a Commercial Property Solicitor with an in-depth knowledge of handling a broad range of commercial property matters is essential (minimum 7+PQE);
  • The ability to communicate in a non-technical way and to be professional; and
  • The ability to work well within a close knit team and to also work well using your own initiative when required.

  • Proactive and comfortable taking initiative when faced with new challenges;

Vacancy Information

  • Location: Newcastle upon Tyne and Stockton;
  • Salary range: Salary commensurate with experience;
  • Job type: Permanent;
  • Working Hours: Usual working hours are 8:30am until 5pm, Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch.  Flexible hours will be considered, as will working from home. Full time or part time roles will also be considered;
  • Holidays: 25 days per annum (for full time, pro-rata for part time).
