Partner promotion at Savage Silk

North East Law Firm Savage Silk, has promoted two of its female Associates to Partners.

Angie Papprill, Head of Dispute Resolution and Emma Huscroft, Head of Private Client were recently promoted to the partnership as the firm continues with its commitment to staff development and rewarding success.

Angie, originally from Newcastle and now living in Teesside, joined Savage Silk in May 2022 having gained 12 years’ experience working with law firms in the region. She qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and has since built a reputation for understanding the complexities of disputes, and successfully achieving great results for her clients whilst keeping their reputation intact.

Recruited to head up the Dispute Resolution Team at Savage Silk last year, Angie has developed an impressive client portfolio working with business owners and individuals up and down the UK. She is currently recruiting into the firm’s Newcastle and Stockton office and is on the lookout for more talent to further strengthen the team’s service offering.

Emma, who lives in Darlington, joined the firm in August 2020 and has 14 years’ experience of advising clients on Wills, LPA’s, Business LPA’s, Probate, Estate Planning, Tax Planning, Trusts, Trusts Administration, Court of Protection and Post Death Variations. She is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and an Affiliate Member of STEP.

Initially Emma’s team joined the firm to provide an ‘add on’ service to the firm’s clients. Just over two years later, Emma has enhanced the client’s experience and grown the team significantly. Emma is now expanding her team in Newcastle and Stockton and, like Angie, is looking to recruit experienced solicitors. She is enthusiastic about career development and is supporting a team member who is embarking on the Solicitor Apprentice Degree at Northumbria University.

Satpal Pandal, Partner said, “Angie and Emma have worked incredibly hard since joining the firm and their promotion is very well deserved. They are an integral part of the wider team, and I am looking forward to growing the business with them and supporting their development further as future leaders of Savage Silk.”

Angie said, “I am delighted to be promoted into the partnership at Savage Silk. The Directors have been really supportive of my plans, from day one, and have given me the confidence to establish a dedicated team of litigators that I am proud to lead.”

Emma said, “It is an exciting time to be part of the partnership and I think it will be really interesting to see where the journey takes the us next. The Savage Silk ethos is to trust in its people, and I could not have achieved what I have done without the support of my team and the encouragement from the Directors.”

Established in 2014, Savage Silk has an office in Newcastle city centre and in Teesside, offering a wide range legal advice to business owners and individuals. The firm’s service offering includes corporate and commercial, commercial property, employment, litigation, residential conveyancing and wills and probate.
